Set in the final days of the 1960s, the film follows two unemployed actors sharing a filthy Camden flat. Permanently broke, permanently drunk, and surviving on whatever alcohol they can find, Withnail and his friend Marwood escape London for what they hope will be a peaceful holiday in the English countryside. Unsurprisingly, almost everything that can go wrong does.

Over the course of the film, Withnail consumes around nine and a half glasses of red wine, thirteen whiskies, six glasses of sherry, cider, ale, gin, and even a shot of lighter fluid. The tally became so infamous that fans later created the legendary "Withnail drinking game," challenging themselves to keep pace with the film's relentless alcohol consumption.

Beneath the humour lies a poignant story about friendship, ambition, and the fear of being left behind. As the optimism of the 1960s fades, the film quietly becomes a farewell to youth, capturing that uneasy moment when dreams begin colliding with reality.

Outside food is allowed in the bar but not in the cinema. No alcohol from outside allowed. All guests are invited to arrive early and stay late!
