PISCES in Practice: Implications for UK Capital Markets and Capital Planning

Wednesday 28. January at 18:30 - 20:30

BDO Baker Street, London

BDO is delighted to welcome you to an in-person briefing focused on the evolving UK capital markets landscape, the introduction of PISCES, and what this means for capital planning in practice.

The session will open with an update from Tim Davis, Regional Head of Primary Markets at the London Stock Exchange, who will share insights on current UK capital market conditions and the launch of PISCES, the FCA-approved Private Securities Market.

PISCES enables private companies and their shareholders to access intermittent liquidity through structured auctions, using the London Stock Exchange’s infrastructure within a regulated framework. As an FCA-recognised market for private securities, it creates new opportunities for private companies, investors and employees to trade existing shares in a controlled and transparent environment.

Following this, a panel of senior BDO partners will explore what PISCES means in practice. The discussion will focus on the opportunities it creates, how it may enhance liquidity and investor access, and the implications for governance, disclosure and capital planning. The panel will also consider how companies and advisers can best prepare for this evolving market.

Panel Speakers

• Mark Sykes, Partner, Head of Consulting and Entrepreneurial Business, BDO
• Elsa Littlewood, Tax Partner, Private Wealth, BDO
• Matthew Emms, Partner, National Head of Share Plans and Incentives, BDO
