PERFORMANCE 1970 🇬🇧 Film Screening (Age-restricted)
Sunday 9. November at 18:00 - 19:45
FOMO Secret Cinema, Tbilisi
PERFORMANCE begins as a London gangster story and morphs into an identity-shifting hallucination of life imitating art.
Donald Cammell and Nicolas Roeg created a film decades ahead of its time, merging gangster grit with psychedelic introspection. It scandalized Warner Bros., was shelved, and later hailed as a masterpiece of countercultural cinema.
So what was all the hubbub about? It's kind of hard to explain. A violent criminal hides in the mansion of a reclusive rock star played by Mick Jagger, but quickly their worlds blur into drugs, sex, and psychological disintegration. It's a real trip. And we don't care what anyone says - Jagger can act.
Presented in the original English with English subtitles. It's very R rated. It's sexual content, drug use, and psychological intensity remain strong even by modern standards. Attendees must be 21 or older.
