To celebrate Arvo Pärt's anniversary, the Arvo Pärt Centre's "Pärt & Film" film nights will feature films, documentaries and animations for which Pärt composed original music. Pärt was one of the most prolific and highly regarded film music composers in Estonia during the 1960s and 1970s.In 1967, he became a freelance composer, and after the banning of his work Credo and the subsequent events, film music became Pärt's main area of public activity.
On 23 August, there will be an opportunity to watch a selection of animated films featuring original music by Arvo Pärt.
