To celebrate Arvo Pärt's anniversary, the Arvo Pärt Centre's "Pärt & Film" film nights will feature films, documentaries and animations for which Pärt composed original music. Pärt was one of the most prolific and highly regarded film music composers in Estonia during the 1960s and 1970s. After becoming a freelance composer in 1967, the banning of his work Credo and subsequent events led him to focus primarily on film music.
On 22 August, there will be an opportunity to watch two feature films with original music by Arvo Pärt.
„Õhtust hommikuni“ (From Evening to Morning), directed by Leida Laius (1962, 37 min).
„Värvilised unenäod“ (Colorful Dreams), directed by Virve Aruoja and Jaan Tooming (1974, 60 min).
