WORKSHOP Natalija Ilves - Romanian Gypsy Dance and body percussion

During the workshop, we will learn various Romanian gypsy dance movements and combinations, as well as a short body percussion sequence. The workshop is intended for beginners of Romanian gypsy dance, but elementary coordination skills and sense of rhythm are required. Bring comfortable shoes and practice clothes. A big Russian gypsy dance skirt is not necessary.

Natalia Ilves is the founder and artistic director of the dance ensemble AL SOL and gypsy dance school Khamoro. During recent years she has been the choreographer and instructor of the silver medalists of the Folk Dance World Cup (IDO) and the Folk Dance Cup of Russia, in 2018 - a guest teacher at the House of Folk Art of the Leningrad Region. Natalia Ilves has been collecting and processing European gypsies' dance folklore for over 10 years.

This is the largest Oriental dance event in Estonia with Oriental dance workshops, gala show, open-stage shows, a film screening and an Oriental bazaar.
