LAGUNE 26 THE FILM, Daphné Bengoa

LAGUNE, originally created in 2016 by Denis Savary for the centenary of the Dada movement, draws inspiration from Sophie Taeuber-Arp and her interdisciplinary practice spanning dance, visual and applied arts. Imagining a floating city animated by performers and modular structures, the project brought together choreography, light and architecture in a constantly shifting landscape. Its first presentation in Athens took place in May 2016, at the opening of the National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens (EMST). In April 2026, as part of the Mirror project and on the occasion of the pre-opening of the Swiss House, Denis Savary revisited LAGUNE 26 through a week-long film-set residency with filmmaker Daphné Bengoa. The residency culminated in the production of a film, offering a glimpse into the current state of the project and capturing the evolving forms, gestures and processes that emerged during the residency.
