ERRAND IN FLUX, Aurélie Mathigot & arisandmartha
FLUX Laboratory invites artist Aurélie Mathigot to present her performance ERRAND IN FLUX, accompanied by the dancers arisandmartha. ERRAND IN FLUX is a site-specific, peripatetic performance conceived as a guided errand through the newly built premises of the Swiss House. Neither a conventional tour nor a linear narrative, the work unfolds as a post-archaeological and post-architectural encounter with the building—an activation that temporarily inhabits, questions, and reanimates its spatial logic. Drawing on Aurélie Mathigot’s installation Protect Me—a suspended sculpture of hand-knitted chains symbolizing both bonding and confinement—the performance weaves and unweaves narratives between objects, bodies, and architectural elements. Two bodies, at times tangled like a knot, at times dispersed like fragments of a broken chain, move through the building, carving their passage as they go. Along their trajectory, they leave behind traces in the form of fabric, thread, objects, gestures, and ephemeral incidents, as their errand becomes both a path of discovery and one of disappearance.
