Nordic Frames: Vessel Views - Lapinlahti Film Festival 2026

Experiments on corporeality and connections, what we all have in common — the vessel we live in. Somewhere between the body and mind, familiar and unfamiliar, cinematic explorations of what perspectives are possible through our sensing bodies.

Lapinlahti Film Festival's Nordic Frames program brings new short films from all over the Nordics to Helsinki.

Synopsis: Flashback - Monstrous Memories is a hybrid documentary, about dehumanising of patients in the Danish psychiatry. The film recreates a real experience where what should be a normal part of the practice of caring for someone admitted in a psychiatric hospital becomes an act of violence.
