Nordic Frames: NØW-Workshop Screening - Lapinlahti Film Festival 2026

This screening features short films that were produced during the NØW workshop over the weekend.

NØW is a weekend-long film workshop held in connection with the Lapinlahti Film Festival and forms part of the Nordic Frames programme. The workshop is aimed at filmmakers who want to work intuitively, collectively, and through a process-driven approach. NØW was born out of a desire among filmmakers to create a space for making films without competition or pre-defined outcomes.

During the workshop, participants create short films that will be screened to the public on the final evening of the festival. The aim is to offer a space where participants can experiment, stumble, and succeed together. The themes for 2026 are heritage and taboo.

Lapinlahti Film Festival's Nordic Frames program brings new short films from all over the Nordics to Helsinki.

Garden Courtyard Screening Tent

The Garden Courtyard screening tent is dark and features elevated seating. The tent retains heat well, so please remember to stay hydrated and bring hearing protection if needed.
