On June 25th, The Hague-based collective Milla Milla will screen the film: Green Lions (2022) at Metro54, highlighting the story of Cameroon’s national football team at the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy. Directed by visual artist Billy Dosanjh, this documentary explores the lives of the players, and the effect their journey had, and continues to have across the African diaspora.
Alongside the screening, the evening opens up a conversation on how the pitch can become a space of self-determination, and how football culture moves beyond sport to create space for Black solidarity across differences. We look forward to see you there!

Milla Milla is a diasporic cultural platform operating at the intersection of football, storytelling and community. Through screenings, conversations and cultural programming, we explore questions of identity, heritage and belonging, creating spaces where perspectives can be seen, heard and connected always through the lens of football.Â
