Múm is an Icelandic experimental pop group formed in 1997, whose work explores the possibilities of electronic music. Their sound features delicate vocals, fragmented beats, and at times eerie details, accompanied by a range of both traditional and unconventional instruments.
Over the course of their career, Múm has released six full-length albums, along with numerous singles and EPs, and has also composed music for theatre and film. They have collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Kylie Minogue, Kronos Quartet, and Jóhann Jóhannsson.
In 2019, a special 20th anniversary edition of their debut album “Yesterday Was Dramatic, Today Is OK” (1999) was released. Their seventh studio album, “History of Silence”, came out last year, maintaining the band’s nuanced and distinctive sound.
