Entertainment Partners' industry-leading Movie Magic Budgeting 10 software is essential for anyone working in film and television production. This course will introduce you to everything you need to know to use it effectively.
Presented by leading Movie Magic trainer, DEWI GRIFFITHS, the course provides you with a trial version of the software. This will enable you to familiarise yourself with the key elements of Movie Magic Budgeting during your training.
If you meet the relevant criteria, you may also be eligible to apply for a bursary from ScreenSkills.
The course covers the relationship between budgets, schedules and finance, key considerations before you start a budget, and determining essential requirements to create a realistic budget.
You will learn how to create and set up a budget using templates and tables, including organising units, globals, groups, fringes, and currencies.
You will be shown how to create details and apply fringes, globals, and groups. You will learn how to revise and export budgets, manage cost reports and track your costs.
The course also includes many time saving software tips and tricks!
Your training day is divided into two, two hour sessions and will take place between 1100 - 1300 and 1400 - 1600.
Please note places are limited but we will shortly be launching a full training programme aimed at all levels of production crew for both Movie Magic Scheduling and Movie Magic Budgeting.

Dewi Griffiths CV
Dewi has over 30 years of experience in film and television production. He has worked across the globe on over 150 feature films, television dramas and documentaries. He has managed the most complex and demanding productions, with budgets ranging from £125,000 to £8,000,000.
As well as running film sets on four continents with award winning crews & talent, Dewi also has top level international experience in Film Education.
He works closely with Entertainment Partners on the launch of new products and has been involved in the development and testing of the latest versions of Movie Magic Budgeting and Movie Magic Scheduling.
