Join us as we push the envelope of microscope usage - from art to science and from serious to fun!
How can we make best use of a microscope and how can this give new ways of looking at a Woodland Laboratory?
We are excited to be hosting Keira from Ascus Lab in Edinburgh for this interactive, hands on workshop. The two main aims are: a) making best use of the microscopes recently purchased for Bennel Wood and b)giving new ways of looking at woodlands and that line between science and artistic interpretation!
This workshop will focus on sample collection, preparation and slide making with a brief overview of using a microscope. We'll be trying idfferent staining and sample preparation, and exploring the different microscope techniques.
