MAAJAAM, Neeruti

After the success of the 2024 open-air exhibition, and before the full-scale “Wild Bits” triennial in 2027, it's time for an interlude.

Following the large-scale outdoor exhibition that took place as part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 programme, “Wild Bits” returns this summer for two weeks. From July 11 to 27, we invite you to Maajaam for the “Wild Bits” mini-exhibition. The exhibition brings together seven works previously featured and introduces three brand new installations, offering a glimpse into the direction we're heading for the 2027 triennial. The exhibition is complemented by an additional programme, giving the audience a chance to explore earlier works created at Maajaam and ongoing experiments. Bits are unleashed, data goes wild, pixels evolve!

The 3-kilometre trail winds through the rural landscape and natural surroundings of the technological art farm Maajaam, located in Otepää parish.
Along the route, you'll also find an information kiosk and a rest area designed by Estonian architects Johan Kirsimäe and Markus Varki, where the exhibition team serves the best iced coffee and snacks in Neeruti village. Visitors can join public curator tours or book a private guided tour for their group.
