Medieval Woodland Foraging: Perspectives from the Past

Saturday 28. September at 10:00 - 12:00

Eskrigg Reserve • DG11 1BW Lockerbie, Scotland, United Kingdom

All tickets have been sold out.

Have you ever wondered what foraging in a woodland throughout time was like?

Join Historical Forager and Viking reenactor Katlin Ulfsdottir on a tour of Eskrigg Nature Reserve to explore how people from our past may have seen our woodland species or used them for food, medicine, craft or more throughout time. How might the woodland have looked different, what have we lost and what have gained since then?"

The event will be a guided walk of the reserve (led by Wild Kat Foraging). Full information will be sent to all booked attendees 48 hours before the event.

This event forms part of the Dumfries & Galloway Woodlands 2024 Summer Programme, funded thanks to support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. For more information about Dumfries & Galloway Woodlands (SCIO 052525), visit www.dgwoodlands.org.uk, and sign up to become a member!
