The Comedians:

Daniel Olel (Headliner)

Born and raised in Uganda, Daniel started stand-up comedy in 2018, mostly because his friends got tired of hearing his stories. Now based in Berlin and a finalist of the New Berlin StandUp Award 2019, he's been lighting up stages across Europe with his sharp humor and effortlessly charming delivery. His comedy dives into the chaos and confusion of adapting to European life: from navigating German efficiency to surviving Berlin winters with nothing but optimism and a questionable jacket.

Mixing witty cultural observations with personal anecdotes, Daniel's style is both relatable and refreshingly unique. Whether he's unpacking language barriers, dating disasters, or the strange rituals of Western brunch culture, he brings an outsider's insight with an insider's heart. Smart, warm, and just the right amount of cheeky, Daniel is one of the most exciting new voices on the Berlin comedy scene.

Fitz Gessler (Host)

Fitz is a comedian originally from New Zealand. He now lives in Berlin and is a regular across all the major clubs - even doing shows in German. He has brought his solo across Europe performing in bars to clubs to theaters.

He has been seen on Don't Tell Comedy, Top Secret Comedy Club, Fusion festival and was winner of 'The Blackout' at up the creek comedy club in London. His comedic style is warm, punchy and absurd; a loveable Kiwi adapting to his fast pace life in Europe.

Maya Upchurch

Maya Upchurch is ranty, angry, morally-corrupt. Inspired by the likes of Bill Hicks, Bill Burr and Joan Rivers, she's a high-energy force of Gen-Z nature who lacks the ability to speak of anything other than exactly what's on her mind. Based out of Berlin, she's got a truckload of tales from the European capital of hedonism and her Polish/American background means she really knows how to take a shot.

Maya started doing standup in 2020, shortly after her first set there was lockdown because China was scared of her power. Since then she's done shows all around Europe, was a featured in The New York Times, performed with Don't Tell Comedy, opened for the likes of Todd Barry, Dragos G, Victor Patrascan and did all sorts of other really cool and exciting stuff that should definitely make you want to book a ticket if the incredible shot joke earlier on didn't already convince you.

Brendan Hickey

Irish to a fault, Brendan has been performing in the Berlin scene for over 10 years. He is the co-founder of Epic Comedy Berlin. His comedy style blends the musings of a failed philosopher with the repressed anger of a failed Catholic. The result is a hilarious and always original style that has made audiences split sides in Berlin and throughout Europe.

Kourosh Mohebian

Kourosh is a well-established comedian across Europe's major stand-up scenes. Originally from Iran and based in Berlin-where he began performing stand-up in English-he is widely recognized as a proud voice in berlin's persian community. He has performed at big festivals and well-known comedy clubs all over Europe, sharing stages with international acts like Ahmed Ahmed, Max Amini, Ahmed Al-Kardi and more...
