PSALMS. Author evening of Marten Meibaum

present you an energetically loaded and theatrical piece of music: PSALMS. The musical idiom ranges from traditional a’capella call-and-response to full-powered orchestral fortissimo. Other highlights include the exotic saw-instrument, an expressive cello trio and a virtuosic challenge between the violinists’ hands and the organist’s legs. Plenty of polyphonic passages have been included for the delight of traditional church music fans. To prove the idea of estonians being a ’singing nation’, the audience is asked to sing along in some of the choruses.
