The Matt Project ir enerģisks retro rock / funk / soul trio no Itālijas, kas jau vairāk nekā desmit gadus uzstājas tādās pilsētās kā Ņujorka, Londona, Parīze, Barselona un Amsterdama, piedāvājot intensīvu koncertpieredzi ar oriģinālkompozīcijām un pārdomātiem kaverversijām.
The Matt Project Latvijā viesosies pirmo reizi, koncertā 19. septembrī M/House of Jazz.
Grupas kodols ir trīs daudzpusīgi mūziķi un vokālisti:
- Carlo Poddighe – vokāls, ģitāra, bass, klavieres
- Matteo Breoni – bungas, vokāls (Frank McComb, Will Lee, Rudy Rotta)
- Jury Magliolo – vokāls, bass, ģitāra, klavieres (koncertējis kopā ar Jamiroquai, John Legend, Alicia Keys; X-Factor Italy – 3. vieta)
Apvienojot klasiskās funk un soul ietekmes ar rokmūzikas enerģiju, The Matt Project ir radījuši atpazīstamu, dzīvīgu koncertprogrammu, kas ieguvusi klausītāju atsaucību gan Eiropā, gan ASV.
Grupa uzstājusies tādās vietās kā Pizza Express (Londona), Rockwood un The Bitter End (Ņujorka), Le Sub Pigalle (Parīze), Biko (Milāna), Mojo Blues (Kopenhāgena) u.c., kā arī festivālos, tostarp Haarlem Jazz & More.

The Matt Project is an energetic retro rock / funk / soul trio from Italy, who have been performing in cities such as New York, London, Paris, Barcelona and Amsterdam for over a decade, offering an intense concert experience with original compositions and thoughtful covers.
The Matt Project will visit Latvia for the first time, in a concert on September 19 at M/House of Jazz.
The core of the band is made up of three versatile musicians and vocalists:
- Carlo Poddighe – vocals, guitar, bass, piano
- Matteo Breoni – drums, vocals (Frank McComb, Will Lee, Rudy Rotta)
- Jury Magliolo – vocals, bass, guitar, piano (has performed with Jamiroquai, John Legend, Alicia Keys; X-Factor Italy – 3rd place)
Fusing classic funk and soul influences with the energy of rock music, The Matt Project have created a recognizable, lively concert program that has won the hearts of listeners both in Europe and the USA.
The band has performed at venues such as Pizza Express (London), Rockwood and The Bitter End (New York), Le Sub Pigalle (Paris), Biko (Milan), Mojo Blues (Copenhagen), etc., as well as at festivals including Haarlem Jazz & More.
