Female Founders’ Lunch is a monthly casual gathering for founders and future founders, held once a month to connect, share experiences, and inspire each other.
This month, in collaboration with the Embassy of Ireland in Latvia, we celebrate St Brigid’s Day, honoring those who carry on Brigid’s legacy as trailblazers and celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Irish women around the world.
Our speakers:
Kia Morice of Paynt and Clare Ryan, founder of ITUS
About St Brigid's day:
The first of February traditionally marks the beginning of spring in Ireland. In pre-Christian times, this day was celebrated as Imbolc, honoring Brigid as the goddess of poetry, healing, and fire.
Later, St Brigid of Kildare, Ireland’s only female patron saint, became a respected leader and peacemaker. She used her voice as an activist, feminist, environmentalist, mentor, negotiator, and advocate for the poor.
Today, St Brigid’s Day inspires events worldwide that celebrate women’s creativity and leadership, honoring those who carry on her legacy and the extraordinary achievements of Irish women everywhere.
Join us as we celebrate female trailblazers, creativity, and the extraordinary achievements of women carrying on St Brigid’s legacy.
The event is powered by: Embassy of Ireland in Latvia and Startup House Riga.
