Sencalar ir starptautiski atzīts trombonists, komponists un pedagogs, kurš sadarbojies ar tādiem māksliniekiem un kolektīviem kā Michael Bublé, David Sanborn Quintet, Christian McBride Big Band, Mingus Big Band un Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band. Kā līderis viņš izdevis sešus albumus izdevniecībā Posi-Tone Records, bet viņa mūzika un sniegums regulāri izpelnās atzinību tādos izdevumos kā DownBeat un All About Jazz.
Kritiķi Sencalar raksturo kā vienu no spilgtākajiem savas paaudzes trombonistiem un komponistiem. DownBeat žurnāla apskatnieks Teds Pankens viņu nodēvējis par "izcili spēcīgu mūziķi", savukārt All About Jazz izceļ viņa oriģinālkompozīcijas kā vienu no nozīmīgākajām jaunās paaudzes džeza balsīm.

Altin Sencalar, a new-generation jazz trombonist from the U.S., will be performing in Latvia for the first time!
Sencalar is an internationally recognized trombonist, composer, and educator who has collaborated with artists and ensembles such as Michael Bublé, the David Sanborn Quintet, the Christian McBride Big Band, the Mingus Big Band, and the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band. As a bandleader, he has released six albums on Posi-Tone Records, and his music and performances regularly receive acclaim in publications such as DownBeat and All About Jazz.
Critics describe Sencalar as one of the most brilliant trombonists and composers of his generation. DownBeat reviewer Ted Panken has called him an “outstandingly powerful musician,” while All About Jazz highlights his original compositions as one of the most significant voices of the new generation of jazz.
