Founded in 2006 in Knoxville, Tennessee, Whitechapel has over the years become one of the leading names in deathcore. The band is known for its powerful riffs, dynamic compositions, and Phil Bozeman’s exceptionally intense vocals. Across nearly two decades of career, Whitechapel is highly respected in the metal world and has one of the most enviable discographies in modern metal.
Their previous albums, including The Valley and Kin, brought new emotional and musical layers to their work, but their latest release, Hymns in Dissonance, marks a return to a darker and more aggressive sound. The album’s conceptual story follows a cultist gathering followers to open portals; the tracks act as “evil hymns” representing the seven deadly sins.
The evening opens with Tribal Gaze, Texas’ rising death metal force, known for their crushing old-school death metal combined with modern groove. Next up is Cleveland’s 200 Stab Wounds, bringing relentless intensity and old-school death metal fury to the stage.
Before Whitechapel takes the stage, the main support is Sylosis, the UK modern metal powerhouse, known for sharp riffs, melodic guitar work, and high-energy live performances. Across nearly two decades, Sylosis has proven themselves as one of modern metal’s strongest names, raising the standard for contemporary heavy music.
