The Family Cricket Day is Back! 🏏☀️

​Get ready it's nearly Sunday, July 5th! We are throwing open the gates at Failand & Portbury Cricket Club from 11:00 AM for a day dedicated to community, family, and casual fun.

​This year, we’re completely blurring the line between players and spectators—our format is specifically designed to get everyone involved! Whether you’re a regular player, a partner, a friend, or one of the kids, there’s a spot on the pitch for you.

​What’s happening:

• ​🏆 The Pairs Competition: A super-casual tournament using a wind ball / Incrediball. Each pair bats for 2 overs—most runs wins the day!

• ​🍉 Shared Feast: We’re doing a community dish-share. Please bring along a sweet or savoury dish to share with the crowd.

• ​🎯 Garden Games: Bring your favourites! Whether it’s Mölkky, Kubb, or Giant Jenga, let’s get some games going on the boundary.

• ​🍻 Relax & Socialise: The bar will be open, so throw your picnic blankets down and soak up the atmosphere.

• 🏏 Hardball cricket: For everyone craving the thwack of leather on willow, we'll aim to get a hardball pairs competition or a short mix n match game in too. So bring your pads, gloves and a box.

​Come for the cricket, stay for the company. We can't wait to see you there!
