From 19:30-20:30 we will be hosting an open mic for people to share music and poetry, followed by a game of Countdown played by the Countdown cast from 20:30-21:30; finally, from 21:45-22:45 the Edinburgh-based band So Boring will be treating us to a live performance featuring covers as well as some original songs.
The night will be an exciting celebration of what is shaping up to be a brilliant production - come one and come all!

The story follows Evie, a young teacher who stumbles into teaching off the back of a literature degree. Starting with optimism, we are hoping to use elements of experimental theatre to convey her journey of searching for meaning but ultimately not finding it.
Countdown is not set in specific location or time. Our focus thus is trying to convey a sense of commonality through the pressures of what it means to be a teacher coupled with current universal struggle in education such as a lack of resources leading to AI being integrated into learning.
A narrator guides us through the story with sharp, blunt observations. Through Students and Mentors, Evie is faced with versions of herself and whilst learning too from them deals with the effects of being overworked and questioning whether she is being fulfilled.
