Lost Robins supported by Grand Baby Grand

Sandham Memorial Village Hall, Pulborough

September was a big month for Lost Robins, Cambridge-based indie folk band. Fresh from Cambridge Folk Festival, they won NMG’s Breakthrough Band and announced their first tour, from November, taking in Manchester, London and Glasgow. But in October, and by special request, lead singer/song-writer Josh Robbins will be at our village hall, with Bene Young on violin and Emma Berry on backing vocals. Lost Robins are hellbent on keeping folk music alive and kicking out in the modern world – they won’t disappoint!

Regulars may remember Emma and Bene from last year – and since they are here with Josh, they will bring you a few warm-up numbers from Grand Baby Grand, their jazz piano duo, with Emma reminding us of some of the greats: Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Peggy Lee, Cécile McLorin Salvant.

Our usual host, Jon Wigg, will pull the evening together and won’t resist joining in! A raffle will support our Post Office.
