Monday 17. November at 19:30 - 22:00

The Waverley Bar, Edinburgh

Join us for an open mic night of art, poetry, and music with the theme of liberation!

Monday 17th November at the Waverley Bar:

  • Doors open at 19:30.
  • Tickets are a £3 minimum donation, however you are encouraged to pay what you can above this. More will be available on the door at the same price.
  • If you would like to perform in the open mic please fill out the form in the coalition Instagram linktree (@uoe_palestine_coalition).
  • Art made at the art workshop (10th November) will be displayed, only with permission, at the open mic.
  • All work performed and displayed should align with the values of the coalition, the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people, and the liberation of oppressed people and communities globally.
  • The function room is up a flight of stairs at Waverley Bar.

All proceeds will go to the Khrais family.

This event is a collaboration between 6 student societies, who have come together to not only fundraise for the Palestinian people, but also shed light on the humanity of the communities that suffer through the medium of art that speaks for itself. The contributing societies are as follows:

  • Girl* Up
  • Women in Politics and International Relations
  • Spoken Word and Poetry Society
  • Sex? on Campus!
  • Art and Painting Society
  • Theatre Paradok

We are hosting this event as a part of the University of Edinburgh's Palestine Solidarity Coalition. As the University of Edinburgh intentionally continues to fund Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people, we refuse to be silent. We stand with the voices of Palestinian People.
