"The woman who is spoken of the least among men, whether in condemnation or praise, deserves the greatest respect," said Thucydides. This phrase encapsulates the main issue of gender inequality - for millennia, women have not had the right to speak.
Even despite the monumental achievements of the four waves of feminism and scientific revolutions, many still consider women to be "secondary" beings, believing them incapable of anything outstanding, especially in art.
This is precisely why this lecture was created. We will briefly explore the history of women in culture through the centuries via visual art and great names. We will look at women not only through the eyes of men but also through their own perspectives, aiming to slightly shake the notion that women have always stood behind men and have created nothing of interest.
Through dozens of names (merely dozens out of hundreds and thousands!!!), I will prove that women are not just "as talented as men" but are valuable for their individuality, talent, and genius in general. They are an integral part of the world and history.
