"Kohane’mine(a)"
What happens when the familiar ground disappears beneath your feet?
When the language sounds foreign and customs no longer hold.
The performance Kohane’mine(a) explores the fragility of stepping into a new environment, where the sense of belonging is constantly called into question. A longing for something that feels both so close and yet unreachable guides the dancers through space and relationships.
The work examines how external shifts - changes in language, space, and cultural context - trigger internal redefinitions and processes of self-identification.
To adapt through differentiation or through identification? Which would you choose?
