AN EVENING OF EXPERIMENTAL THEATRE – SEPTEMBER 11, 2025 6 pm-12 pm

Paha invites you to share an evening with us - an evening all about experimental arts and for an important cause!
Paha’s new event concept, An Evening of Experimental Theatre, brings together experimental performing arts, live music, dance, dialogue, and a strong sense of community in a club-like atmosphere. Over the course of the night, 12 different short-form pieces will be performed by more than 20 artists. The evening’s atmosphere will be elevated by the brilliant live band Mauno, and DJ Ilmari will keep the dance floor alive to close out the night.
At the heart of the event are experimentation, play, incompleteness and a shared evening of a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. During performances, the doors will be closed, but you are free to move within the space. Food and drinks will be available – and you’re also welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages. The evening is recommended for ages 18 and up.

The evening also aims to raise awareness and funds for an urgent and ongoing human rights struggle. That’s why half of all proceeds will be donated to Sumud, the Finnish Palestine Network. Sumud is an intersectional organization working to end Israeli apartheid, occupation, and colonialism, and to promote the human and political rights of Palestinians.

SAFER SPACE PRINCIPLES

The event follows Paha Theatre's Safer Space Principles, which you can read in full on our website.
In brief: Avoid assumptions regarding gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, or ability. Be mindful of how you behave in the space – how you speak, touch, and look at others. Stop or change your behavior if someone feels uncomfortable or offended. A designated safety person will be present at the event, available to support in case of inappropriate behavior or concerns.

ACCESSIBILITY

The venue is fully accessible from inside. There are two entrances; the main entrance of the evening has stairs and as such is not fully accessible. However, an alternative, more accessible entrance is available on the other side of the building, leading directly into the venue. This entrance has a wide, low threshold (approx. 2 cm). There is an accessible toilet in the space. Assistants enter free of charge. If you are arriving with an assistant or require entrance through the accessible entrance, please email us in advance at [email protected] so we can ensure a smooth experience.
The event will not use theatrical smoke or rapidly flashing lights, but one should be prepared for loud sounds and mildly flashing lights.
The event is bilingual and can be attended by Finnish and English speaking people alike.
