Join us for a hands-on Georgian cooking experience where you will learn how to make two of Georgia’s most beloved dishes — Khinkali and Khachapuri.
This is not a demonstration where you simply watch the chef. You will be making the food yourself, learning the techniques behind these traditional dishes and, of course, enjoying what you have prepared together.
What will we make?
Khinkali — traditional Georgian dumplings filled with seasoned minced meat. You will learn how to work with the dough, prepare the filling and shape the characteristic pleated top of the Khinkali.
Each participant will make seven khinkali, learning the technique step by step and discovering the little details that make them juicy and flavourful.
While the khinkali are cooking, we will move on to the second Georgian classic.
Khachapuri — a warm, cheese-filled Georgian bread. You will prepare your own Khachapuri, learning how to work with the dough, add the filling and shape it before baking.
More than just cooking
Georgian food is made for sharing, conversation and a good table.
During the workshop, you will have plenty of time to talk, ask questions and enjoy the food together. We will also introduce you to some of the traditions and little secrets behind the cuisine.
Each participant will receive 150 ml of wine to enjoy during the workshop.
At the end, you will have prepared and enjoyed your own Khinkali and Khachapuri — and hopefully picked up some new skills to recreate them at home.
