Kedr Livanskiy (Yana Kedrina) is a post-soviet producer and musician who fuses breakbeat, dream pop and electronic textures in an approach that is both intimate and immersive. Inspired by Björk, Actress and Terrence Dixon, she explores the boundaries between the organic and the digital, the urban and the natural.
With Your Need (2019), an album steeped in house and dub, she made her mark on the international electronic scene, performing from Moscow to New York and attracting the attention of Pitchfork and The Guardian. On Liminal Soul (2021), she refined her universe, pushing her vocal writing towards celestial choirs and operatic harmonies, while integrating acoustic instruments into her hypnotic beats.
With Myrtus Myth (2025), Kedr Livanskiy moves even further away from club structures to embrace ethereal pop, tinged with ambient ambiences and haunting vocal layers. This new album marks an evolution towards more introspective music, where nature and mysticism intertwine in compositions as fragile as they are luminous.
Kedr Livanskiy, a leading figure in avant-garde electronica, will be playing at Kantine Am Berghain on Friday 20 June 2025.
