For decades, filmmaker Steven Spielberg built his career exploring humanity's relationship with the unknown. From CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND to E.T., A.I. and WAR OF THE WORLDS, his films have repeatedly returned to the idea that our understanding of the universe is far from complete. DISCLOSURE DAY takes that curiosity in a very different direction.
Years in the making and operating in stealth mode until recently, the film draws on one of the most debated subjects of the modern era: unidentified aerial phenomena, government secrecy and the search for evidence beyond our own world. Rather than offering simple answers, Spielberg approaches the subject with the same sense of awe, scepticism and human curiosity that has defined his best work for more than fifty years.
Whether you're convinced, doubtful or simply fascinated, DISCLOSURE DAY invites audiences to wrestle with extraordinary questions while never losing sight of the people at the centre of the story. Like all of Spielberg's finest films, it's ultimately less interested in spectacle than in how ordinary people respond when confronted with the unimaginable.
Whatever you believe before the lights go down, you'll almost certainly leave with plenty to discuss afterwards.
FOOD AND DRINK POLICY: FOMO Cinema Lounge Bar opens 1 hour before the first screening of the day and closes at 02:00, serving a wide selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic refreshments, as well as fresh hot popcorn! Outside food is allowed in the bar but not in the cinema. No alcohol from outside allowed. All guests are invited to arrive early and stay late!
