The UK Community and the MWA are proud to invite you to take part in the 2026 Vesuvius Run on 18 Oct 26.
As with previous years, there will be 3 x races:
12 km- starting in the Herculaneum Archaeological Park
5 km- starting on Mt Vesuvius
2km - starting on Mt Vesuvius
All the races will finish at the Mt Vesuvius car park.
More details will follow, but transport will be provided and the cost of entry includes a t-shirt, medal and finishers pack.
If you do not fancy taking part in the run, but would like to support, we will always welcome volunteers to join the support team. Your help would make a huge difference on the day—keeping things running smoothly, directing runners, water stations, cheering on participants, and creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
If you choose to volunteer, please note that you won't be able to take part in the race itself. However, you will be right at the heart of the action, contributing to something special and supporting the community in a massive way.

Participant Waiver for Race Registration
I confirm that I am responsible for those named participants and will supervise them on the day of the event.
By purchasing this ticket(s), I acknowledge that running a road race is a strenuous and potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. As applicable, I declare that I and the participants taking part are medically able, fit and properly conditioned to undertake this activity.
I, and the named participants, shall abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend our participation for any reason.
On my own account and on behalf of the named participants, I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road all such risks being known and appreciated by me.
I understand that bicycles, skateboards, prams/push-chairs, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and personal music players are not allowed in the race and I will ensure that I, and all the named participants, abide by all race rules.
Having read this entry form I accept these terms, also on behalf of the named participants, and waive and release the organisers of the Mt Vesuvius Race and the MWA of all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of our participation in this event insofar as is permissible under applicable law.
I understand that photography/video footage of the event may be taken for the purpose of promoting/marketing this event and/or future events.
