Comedy Drama "Intermission": Premiere in Berlin
Sunday 30. August at 19:30 - 22:00
Kino Toni & Tonino, Berlin
The plot of the film tells the story of twelve schoolchildren from a Kaluga theater club who are flying to Sochi for a festival. The children are accompanied by a strict deputy headmistress, Maria Genrikhovna (Polina Kutepova), and a young leader of the children's theater club, Tanya (Darya Savelyeva), who is no less childish than her charges. While the two very different women try to find common ground, the young actors go through their own personal dramas, and the play itself ends up in jeopardy. On top of that, the contest organizers put forward unexpectedly absurd demands. Even the title of the production becomes unwelcome, and "strawberry wine" is soon replaced with the safer "nectar."
