This workshop explores how EMDR therapy can be thoughtfully adapted when working with neurodivergent clients.
As more clinicians are working with clients who identify as neurodivergent (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, and Tics), there is a growing need to adapt our approaches in ways that are flexible, respectful and clinically effective.
This workshop will focus on how EMDR can be adapted across all eight phases of the standard protocol to better meet the needs of this client group.
The workshop will include:
⢠Understanding neurodivergence and how it may present clinically
⢠A recap of the EMDR standard protocol
⢠Practical adaptations across all 8 phases
⢠Skills practice and case discussion
⢠Real clinical challenges explored with solutions
This workshop is suitable for EMDR practitioners who want to deepen their confidence and competence when working with neurodivergent clients.
