BECOMING LOUIS V. — Become Your Own Luxury Brand with Hands-On

Who is Louis Vuitton, really? Just someone who built a brand around his initials. In this workshop, you do the same: you create your own repeat pattern and turn yourself into a luxury brand using simple tools and your own creativity.

You will design your personal initials and transform them into a reusable stamp. Along the way, you learn how basic letterforms can evolve into a recognisable pattern. Through cutting, assembling, and experimenting with different techniques, you develop your own visual language.

At the end, you leave with your personal stamp, ready to mark textiles, bags, paper, or anything you choose.

The result?
Your own signature. Status through skill, not consumption. Creativity instead of purchasing power. And best of all, you can reuse your stamp again and again, shaping your world with your own design.

Who is the workshop for?
Young people aged 12 and up who want to create rather than consume. No prior experience needed, just curiosity and a desire to make.

From “I have to” to “I want to”: the MAISON SHIFT project HANDS ON empowers young people to become agents of change and rethink their consumption habits. Knowledge turns into action, and restraint becomes empowerment. A shift in values begins with your own hands.

Workshope leaders:

Corinna Mattner is a co founder of MAISON SHIFT and works across initiatives at the intersection of fashion, craft, and circular practices.

Henriette Herm is a lecturer at Zurich University of the Arts in design and works conceptually on fashion, identity, and social questions. Together, they initiated HANDS ON.
