Good improv starts with a good base. Before you can even begin to tell a great story, you need good characters. And the best and fastest way to build a character is through physicality.
In this workshop we will explore the many ways that you can use your body to create a form, to make a connection to others, to become something that is new and is different from the rest. Physical acting is a tool that is both useful for the foundation of a single character, as for the creation of group entity.
How can you steer others through physical motions, how can you build something together with others, how can you feel the space around you and use that to your advantage?
Many questions, and during a 2 hour workshop you will be guided to find your own answers.
Tim has been playing improv for more than 6 years, has performed with 5 different improv groups, is still involved in way too many improv projects as an actor/director/organizer/teacher. In his search for knowledge he discovered a meandering path through improv, movement theatre, physical theatre, viewpoints and clowning.
Practical instructions Please gather at the bar of Zirkus by 10.20. Wear clothes in which you can move around easily.
