Tamara Eidelman — historian, writer, educator, and author of a popular YouTube channel with over 1 million subscribers — will be speaking in Dublin for the first time on March 28.
For centuries, the methods of manipulating the minds of thousands and millions of people have remained almost unchanged. Today, propagandists have far more powerful technologies at their disposal, but why do millions suddenly start believing the most insane and cruel ideas? Could it be that propaganda has found weak spots that make people defenseless? Is it possible to resist its influence?
During the event, Tamara Eidelman will engage with the audience in an attempt to answer these questions. She will explore the history of propaganda and its mechanisms to understand how it affects the human mind.
The lecture will be held in Russian.
After the lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to ask Tamara Natanovna questions, take photos with her, and get a book signed.
The lecture, "How Propaganda Works", will take place in Dublin on March 28 at 6:00 PM at Davis Theatre, Arts Building, Trinity College Dublin.
