HeartBeat Season Closing Event - Ecstatic Dance & Sound Journey | Keisi Kallas | DJ Layqa | Krista Köster

We bring together special artists for this season closing party and go deep -- all of us together in dance once more with this community's old and new friends. We will still get to come together over the summer at various festivals and more relaxed dance evenings, but in this format we are taking a longer break for autumn. It is time to bring our bodies here and give our minds some rest.

This event is brought together as one whole by Keisi Kallas, Krista Köster, and DJ Layqa.

Krista and Layqa will bring us beautifully into a shared space and guide us into a wonderful dance state. Keisi will ground and relax us all through Tibetan singing bowls -- leading a sound journey after the dance session.

Krista Köster is a creator whose work weaves together movement, sound, and mindfulness practices. As a performance artist, choreographer, and teacher, she continuously seeks new ways to tell stories through body and sound, opening space for experiencing, transformation, and healing. Her work is born from curiosity and playfulness -- experimenting, pushing boundaries, and seeking the meeting point between performance art and healing art. Of her it can be said: "wonderful to watch and inspiring to experience (dancing alongside her)."

Keisi Kallas is our magical wizard who moves through life on many paths, but one thing is certain -- she holds space beautifully. She brings alive and authentic powerful sound waves through Tibetan singing bowls, which she has studied in Nepal. The love between her and the world of sound will be a great inspiration for us too, and after the dance, sinking into that soft gentleness is simply... wow. We are all already so excited!!!

DJ Layqa brings this time a special focus on world music and rhythms across cultures. Skillfully, she also guides on this journey those who are not accustomed to the many different styles and genres that can be experienced in ecstatic dance. Layqa takes us on a shared musical journey, and within it a space for wordless self-expression is born. Each person creates through their own authentic presence, and synergy emerges in spontaneity.

Since ecstatic dance is the heart of HeartBeat, let us introduce it a little more closely.

Why come dancing? Ecstatic dance is your opportunity to feel free and dance exactly as your body and soul desire. The music carries you, and you can flow through the rhythms exactly as you wish. Sometimes the dance journey can be a held inward experience, sometimes magical co-creation, sometimes simply pure joy that the body gets to moooove! Dancing together in one space with others also creates an unspoken synergy, so that loneliness dissolves and sadness softens.

What does this journey look like? HeartBeat dances are complete journeys with a shared beginning and end. A gentle guided introduction supports grounding into the body, we rise smoothly into flight (sometimes it truly feels that way), and the final part offers time to let what has happened resonate within. That silence is one of the most beautiful states one can experience!

Substance-free, storytelling-free, and phone-free event To create a space that supports dancers, we also have a few important agreements:

• No prior dance experience needed -- bring your friends freely. We run an event that is also suitable for complete beginners and first-time explorers.

• We dance substance-free -- this allows us to maintain a very strong and safe space. In the dance space we do not tell stories. This way each person can be on their own journey, which can sometimes be very beautiful, tender, and deep -- even emotional.

• Phone-free flow also supports a safe experience: we do not film or photograph dancers during vulnerable moments, and we encourage you to do the same -- feel free to put your phone on airplane mode.

This way we can be truly present and in sincere authenticity.

• Bring your own water bottle and dress comfortably in layers -- the room is warm and it is good to flow.
