Diana van der Bent started her working life as a lawyer, but soon made the move to music. She studied singing at the conservatory in Utrecht, where she studied jazz, related styles and also classical singing.
After her studies, Diana developed into a versatile vocalist. She recorded a duo CD with jazz double bassist extraordinaire Harry Emmery and made various musical theater performances, including “Peggy & Nina” (about Peggy Lee and Nina Simone), “Van Ramses tot Rossini, a distraught recital” and the successful Eb & Vloed, with which she currently performs throughout the Netherlands.
She also released a French language album; Tout finit par des chansons, after her theater performance of the same name. Her album was released on the Utrecht label TRPTK. Diana was a finalist of the Concours de la chanson Alliançe Francaise 2019. She is a singing teacher at the Jazz Department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
