Natalia Gorlenko: “Vladislav Mamyshev-Monroe and Other Masters of Transformation”
Wednesday 6. May at 19:00 - 20:00
GALERIE WASSER Berlin
Natalia Gorlenko is an art historian and Candidate of Art History (formerly Head of Art Consulting at the Cosmoscow Fair and the Cosmoscow Collectors Club), an emerging gallerist in Berlin, and founder of gorlenko gallery.
Self-representation through the image of another is a complex and rare artistic method. Any transformation - if it is to be precise and witty - demands great skill and complete dedication from the artist. In this lecture, we will explore how Vladislav Mamyshev-Monroe achieved this, learn about other artists who have worked in this genre, and identify what makes each of them unique.
The lecture will be held in Russian.
