COMEDY GONG SHOW: VOTE COMEDIANS OFF THE STAGE - 1 Winner 🥇

WHAT IS IT?

For the first time in Lisbon, Selva Comedy Café presents an interactive show where you decide who wins. 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

Yes, this is a live competition.

And if you've never seen a Gong Show, fair warning: it's merciless 😮‍💨

1. Each comedian gets 30 seconds before judges (audience members) can raise a red card ❌

2. Each card raise triggers a bell 🔔

3. 3 red cards = you're out 👋

No questions asked, no time to finish your joke.

To survive and advance, comedians must complete 3 full minutes onstage with maximum 2 red cards. If they survive, they move to the next round ⏭️

In round 2, we repeat, and the final winner is chosen by audience vote from the survivors. 👏

WHY IS IT FUN?

First off all, who doesn’t like to watch people struggle?

(Under safe circumstances 😂)

This show can be very stressful for comedians, because they are trying to convince you that they’re worth it.

And that's a challenge when your parents have made it clear that you aren't. 😮‍💨

But, they’re all here voluntarily and that will give us memorable moments and a night full of laughter.

The good thing is that, in the end, we all go home being better comedians, better friends, and more empathetic people (except the judges, we need you to be mean).

Additionally, judges are rotated frequently so you! get a chance of being a judge (if you want).

You will see about 15 different comedians competing for the prize 🏆, which means there will be plenty of opportunities.

WHERE IS IT?

This show will take place at the lovely Selva Comedy Café in Lisbon, in the neighborhood of Alcântara, a cozy space for stand up comedy and other select-crowd, intimate type of shows, which is easily accessible by public transport (tram, bus).

Doors open at 8:30PM, arrive early to grab a drink and get a good seat.

We’ll serve snacks and light food 🥨🍹 (not included in the price of the ticket).

The show will run from 9PM until 10:40-11:00PM with a 10-minute break in the middle.
