From Taboo to Therapeutic: Using Clients’ Kinks & Fetishes as Gateways to Deeper Healing
Friday 26. September at 19:00 - 21:00
The Good Companions, Eastleigh
How do you think about kinks and fetishes? Do you think of them as detours from normal expression of sexuality? Or are you kink aware but want to explore ways to incorporate this into your practice?
In this informative and thought-provoking talk, James will help you to explore how an understanding of kink and fetish can be a wonderful gateway to understanding desire, normalise the breadth of human sexuality, and how they can function as symbolic blueprints for unmet needs, emotional wounds, or self-discovery.
Whether you are wondering how to bring this into your work with clients or simply intrigued and wanting to learn a little more about this subject, this promises to be a fascinating talk!
*James is an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor who has been in private practice for ten years, working with individuals and couples.
