Reading the book of Numbers can be hard going. It’s not top of the list of books we would choose for a Bible study because of… well… all the numbers!

After the initial chapters we might want to stop reading; but the experience of God’s people on their way to the promised land, narrated in the middle sections, sounds very much like the way we often live here and now. Even though God has given us so much, we find ourselves living as if He doesn’t exist and grumbling about our lot. Liz Cox, our main speaker, will teach us from the Israelites’ experience so that we might trust, obey, and be more grateful to God for all that He has done.

We’d love you to join us in Stockton-on-Tees as we look at God’s word together. There are seminars for you to choose from: deepening our understanding of the Holy Spirit in the Bible; making sense of the suffering we experience in our own wilderness; or working through the Christian perspective on identity and gender.

We’ll respond to God as we sing His praises and reflect on what we’ve learnt in prayer. Throughout the day there will be time for us to chat over a hot cuppa and a croissant; or pop up to the 10ofthose bookstall to check out their latest bargains.

This day is a great opportunity to gather women from your church and travel to Stockton together to be nourished by God’s word and encouraged by the fellowship of your sisters in Christ, from across the northeast and beyond.
