Salsa Greenwich is a new weekly social community built for complete beginners. No experience? No partner? No problem. Just show up, we'll take care of the rest.
The Night:
Our night features a First Timers and Beginners class, perfect for anyone who has never tried salsa before. Already have some experience? We have more levels coming soon!
6:30pm - Doors Open
7:00pm — First Timers Class (Level 0 - if you have never danced)
8:00pm — Beginners Class (Level 1 - if you've done 1 or 2 classes)
9:00pm — Salsa Party!!
Doors open at 6:30pm — come early, grab a drink and meet everyone before the class starts.
What to Wear:
A top you can move freely in
Comfortable trousers or a skirt/dress
Trainers are fine. No specialist footwear needed.
What to Expect:
First Timers: You'll start with the basic steps and once comfortable, move into partner work. By the end of the night, you'll be dancing to real salsa music with a partner, and yes, they'll be just as nervous as you. Once you have done this class once or twice, we recommend joining our beginner class.
Beginners: We will start by recapping the basics and then move onto the foundational moves of cuban salsa, building on what we covered in the first timers class. We suggest doing this class a few times before moving on to more intermediate moves.
Intermediate+ : Got some experience under your belt? You are still more than welcome to join us on the social floor from 9pm and dance the night away. We have our intermediate classes coming in the weeks ahead.
