Fotografiska Tallinn
When a legend like Anton Corbijn comes to Estonia, he deserves a legendary welcome.
On the evening of 23 January, Fotografiska opens a major retrospective celebrating Corbijn – a show that honors both the photographer’s 70th birthday and 50 years of creative mastery in music, film, and culture.
The exhibition features over 200 works, bringing to Tallinn the visual world that has captivated music fans and shaped the industry across generations. From Joy Division, U2, The Rolling Stones, Depeche Mode, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Prince, to Brainstorm, every frame reveals someone iconic through Corbijn’s signature moody lens.
A powerful video room amplifies the experience, showcasing Corbijn’s videography and legendary music videos that have inspired multiple generations. His legacy in music is rock-solid, and now it’s time to celebrate it.
Exhibition opening party January 23
On 23 January, we leave behind the dull gray of winter and mark the exhibition opening with an evening that is far more than a simple handshake and cake.
In the exhibition hall, surrounded by Corbijn’s works, DJs Raul Saaremets, Siim Nestor, and Heidy Purga will spin records. Musical surprises come from Kitty Florentine, performing a piece inspired by artists captured by Corbijn, ranging from harp to electronic music. The night also includes a spectacular surprise performance in honor of the master himself. And Corbijn? Tristan Priimägi will interview him live, drawing out the most fascinating stories about his art and life.
- The party kicks off at 20:00 and the music and energy continue until 02:00.
- Everything happens at the Anton Corbijn exhibition hall.
