North Tallinn Food Tour x Open House Tallinn

Balti Jaama Turg, Tallinn

Koplikandi Tours invites you to a food tour during the Open House Tallinn event that will satisfy both your taste buds and your appetite for architecture and history, taking you from Balti Jaam to Kopli.

Along the way, we’ll visit several distinctive—and perhaps still undiscovered—food and drink spots, where shared plates and carefully chosen drinks await.

You’ll hear plenty of stories about the origins and architectural history of North Tallinn’s neighbourhoods—Kalamaja, Karjamaa and Kopli. We’ll take a closer look at the classic types of Tallinn’s wooden houses, discover several local landmarks, and share stories about the origins of Estonian food.

The tour is led by Koplikandi Tours guides Hannele and Liine, who have introduced nearly 5000 people to the history of Kopli.

“This is a great tour for foodies, history buffs and walking enthusiasts alike. The food experiences are wonderfully diverse, with some surprisingly dramatic twists. Everything comes together into a delightful whole—and by the end, don’t be surprised if a stranger you started the tour with has become a warm and friendly conversation partner.”
— Triin, lifelong Tallinn resident
