Online ticket sales has ended.

To say that Alex Roberts has many strings to his bow would be a metaphor forgiven for the fact that it helps to conjure his presence as a musical magician. Almost totemic, whether it’s finger-style acoustic guitar, lap-steel, or bouzouki, Alex plays with a mastery borne of years of graft, craft, and of a man who seems to straddle boundaries of time.

‘Alex’s music comes from the heart & will touch your heart. His songs weave stories, & the music wraps them up in magic. Be prepared to be swept away’ - Wimborne Folk Festival

‘This is the best kind of music for me, beautifully written and wonderfully executed’ - Mark Chadwick, The Levellers

‘Superb musicianship and great songs. A true gem’ - Kashmir Stage, Isle of Wight Festival

'Alex plays bloody wonderfully!' - John Renbourn

Inspired by artists including Joni Mitchell, Carol King, Paul McCartney, Laura Marling and Norah Jones, Emily Barden is a contemporary pop/folk/country singer songwriter with a classic sound.

She performs as a solo artist, playing guitar and piano, as well as working with other musicians.
Emily writes songs with stories at their heart, influenced by everyday life and encounters, as well as the landscape around her. Recently this has included stories about travel, love, loss, and ultimately hope.
Her album “Vapour Trails" is coming out later in 2024 and Emily will be previewing some of these new songs at The Victoria Institute on 19th April.
