Released eleven years earlier, Peter Berg's fearless black comedy took the familiar bachelor party movie and pushed it to outrageous extremes. What begins as a booze-soaked weekend in Las Vegas filled with drinking, strippers, drugs, and terrible judgment quickly descends into absolute chaos after a shocking accident. As panic takes hold, every attempt to fix the situation only creates an even bigger disaster, transforming one bad decision into an avalanche of catastrophically worse ones.

Upon its release in 1998, audiences and critics were deeply divided. Some were horrified by its gleeful disregard for good taste, while others recognised it as one of the boldest black comedies Hollywood had produced in years. Time has been kind to the film, and it has since earned a passionate cult following, with many now viewing it as a clear forerunner to films like The Hangover, Game Night, and the darkest work of the Coen brothers.

The outstanding ensemble cast includes Christian Slater, Cameron Diaz, Jon Favreau, Daniel Stern, Jeremy Piven, Jeanne Tripplehorn, and a brilliantly unhinged Leland Orser.
