Charismatic French pianist Lucas Debargue is coming to Tallinn!
In today’s music industry, one often encounters technically flawless musicians who, despite their precision and polished playing, tend to come across as somewhat uniform. Lucas Debargue, however — with his incredible and almost fairytale-like story — is certainly different. A free-spirited thinker and bold explorer of musical paths, his name draws excited attention wherever it is heard. Debargue is an artist of rare talent — thoughtful, unique, and spontaneous.
While most pianists begin their training at the age of five under the watchful eye of a piano teacher, Lucas started playing jazz by ear at the age of eleven. His unexpected breakthrough into the “big league” came in 2015 when he won 4th prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition — a surprise even to himself. Since then, his concerts have been booked well in advance, in cities ranging from London to Paris.
